A SIPOC is a powerful process mapping technique that allows you to better understand the value stream of the activity. They are a simple diagram that enables colleagues to quickly and easily understand an end to end process.
When we work withour customers, processes are rarely completed wholly within the organisational unit where we are working. In most cases, other business areas are involved in the process before or after the process comes to the area we are working with. We identify the upstream and downstream processing impacts to help understand where the process is not optimised for efficiency, performance nor responding to the Voice of the Customer (VOC).
